Following the victory of the All Progressives Candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, in the March 28 presidential election, his campaign organisation in Lagos held a party on Wednesday at Ojota, Lagos.
Led by the chairman of the APC presidential committee, Abiodun Faleke, who was also re-elected as a Federal lawmaker on Saturday, the organisation thanked the crowd made of up northerners in Lagos for coming out en mass to vote.
Speaking with PREMIUM TIMES during the rally, the Lagos state commissioner for transport, Kayode Opeifa, said Nigerians should be ready for a new dawn as the APC led government will chart a new course for Nigeria.
“As at 2011, when we were running, I said this is not the time for change, but now, and the calibre of the candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, we were so sure of our victory even when I know religion would play a major part and it did play a major part,” he said.
