The All Progressives Congress, APC, has won both the National Assembly and Presidential election in Ikeja.
Abiodun Faleke of the APC polled 33,375 votes to defeat the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, who polled 25,447,
In the presidential election, APC polled 29,893 against the PDP’s 23,836.
For the Senatorial election for Ikeja local government, the APC got 32, 811 while the PDP is 25,572.
The results were declared by Dele Ashiru, Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission for Ikeja Federal Constituency.
The APC contestant, Mr. Faleke described the election as “very peaceful and violent free”

“I am not only APC contestant, but also a coordinator of Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign train, so with this result so far, APC victory is guaranteed. I thank the party for giving me the double privilege of being a candidate to serve Nigeria and Lagos as a state,“ Mr. Faleke.
Meanwhile, collation at the state INEC office was yet to commence as at 12.30 p.m.
Femi Akinbiyi told PREMIUM TIMES that the presidential results of 10 local governments are ready and they would begin “soon”.
