Counting of votes begins at Ogun polling booths

The election is gradually coming to an end in many polling booths in Ogun State as officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission have started counting votes garnered by each political party.

Voters waited patiently to witness the process.

The party agents also kept a close watch on the counting process and in fact the whole election process which were largely peaceful in the state

There were still some polling booths that had an overwhelming number of voters as at 4.45 p.m. At those booths, it seemed like voting would exceed the 5 p.m. closing time given the large number of voters on the queue.

All the security commanders in the state also embarked on a joint patrol across and were seen addressing voters at number of polling booths. They urged voters to remain peaceful.
