Ogun PDP senatorial candidate, Bisola Shodipo-Clark, scorned at party event

The unresolved crisis within the Ogun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] on Monday took a dramatic turn as the Ogun Central Senatorial Candidate of the party, Bisola Sodipo-Clark, was scorned.

Ms. Sodipo-Clark emerged the senatorial candidate amid controversy within the party. She is the wife of Ijaw leader, Edwin Clark.

She was at the legacy house of the party located in Onikolobo area, Abeokuta to attend the inauguration of the Ogun State Presidential Campaign Advisory Committee, but was humiliated.

The programme was going on smoothly until Ms. Sodipo-Clark was introduced and immediately, members of the PDP in the states shouted embarrassing words at her.

“Call another person‎, is this Epe or Ikorodu in Lagos State? Who knows her? Are you are Clark or Messenger? They are destroyers of Ogun PDP, we can only vote for people we know not strangers.
We don’t fear arrest, you can arrest us if you want, MC should call another known person,” the party members shouted.

All efforts by the party’s Media Officer, Segun Sowunmi, to control the ranting party members were futile.

Ms. Sodipo-Clark later walked away in the middle of the programme when names of the committee member were rolled out‎.

Meanwhile, the list of the committee include: Gbenga Daniel, as Adviser; Jubril Martins-Kuye, Joju Fadairo, Wole Adeyanju, Dayo Bayo, Doyin Okupe, Dimeji Bankole, Sarafa Ishola, Kayode Ajibola, Remi Bakare and Kola Onadipe.

Others are: Salmat Badru, Lekan Mustapha, Dave Salako, Gloria Shoda, Lamidi Odulawa, Kola Bajomo, Babatunde Fadun, Iyabo Apampa, Ayodeji Otegbola, Titi Oseni and Segun Seriki.
