The Ogun State Chapter of Labour Party, LP, on Tuesday formally presented its governorship candidate, Abolaji Sunmola, and his running-mate, Bolanle Bonojo.
The candidates of the National Assembly and state House of Representatives were also presented. The event took place at the party headquarters in Adatan, Abeokuta.
A former Special Adviser to the state Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, under the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Yomi Odunowo, was also presented to the public as the Labour Party’s candidate from Ogun East Senatorial District.
In his acceptance speech, the governorship candidate, Mr. Sunmola, expressed his happiness. He said with Labour Party, the state’s politics would not remain the same.
“I am happy to address you today as your servant,” he said. “It has not been easy but God has been with us and that is why we are forging ahead. Ogun State politics will never be the same again, when Labour Party takes over. I want to assure you that if Labour Party is voted in, stomach infrastructure will not be neglected.”
