A former gubernatorial aspirant in Ogun State on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Segun Adewale, has declared his support for Gboyega Isiaka, the man who emerged the candidate of the party.

Mr. Adewale, who is from Ogun West Senatorial District as the winner, had pulled out of the race before the primary election that produced Mr. Isiaka.

In a congratulatory message to the candidate, Mr. Adewale said he was prepared to handover his campaign organisation to the flagbearer.

“On behalf of myself, and all the members of Omooba Segun Adewale Campaign Organisation (OSACO) across the 236 wards in Ogun State. I congratulate my brother and friend! Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI) as the confirmed PDP governorship candidate in Ogun State,” he said.

“I see this as victory for democracy in Ogun State and victory for Ogun West in particular. I therefore enjoin all party members across Ogun State to come together and join hands with us to ensure victory at the polls come February 28, 2015. The work to liberate Ogun State has just begun and victory is sure.”

Mr. Isiaka is expected to be a major opponent to Governor Ibikunle Amosun, who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
