Alao-Akala appoints ex-Commissioner Balogun campaign director

Former Governor Adebayo Alao-Akala, who is the Labour Party governorship candidate in Oyo State for February election, has appointed Kola Balogun as director-general of his campaign organisation.

This is contained in a statement signed by Abraham Ojo, Mr. Alao-Akala’s media aide.

The statement said Mr. Balogun, an Ibadan-politician, was chosen based on his loyalty, credibility and commitment to the aspirations of Mr. Alao-Akala.

Mr. Balogun was former Gov. Alao-Akala’s Commissioner for Commerce and Industry.

According to the statement, the campaign committee will be inaugurated soon.

Speaking with newsmen, Mr. Balogun said: “we have a good product in the person of Alao-Akala.

“He is a sellable and preferred candidate whom the people of the state appreciated while in office.”

He assured members of the team and the people of the state of harmonious working relationship to ensure that LP emerged victorious in the upcoming election.
