The Minority Leader of the House of Representatives and All Progressives Congress, APC, Caucus Leader, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Sunday emerged APC House of Representatives Candidate for Surulere 1 federal constituency, Lagos.
This was disclosed in a press release by his spokesperson, Wasiu Olanrewaju-Smart, on Sunday.
Mr. Gbajabiamila scored 247 votes out of 252 total votes cast, 5 of which were declared invalid with no opposition.
Mr. Gbajabiamila, briefing journalists after his victory, said, “I thank our party members for their trust in my representation. I promise to give you even better representation in 2015”.
The APC delegates said they unanimously affirmed Mr. Gbajabiamila’s candidacy owing to his track record of true representation in the House of Representatives.
In the sixth assembly of the House of Representatives, 2003-2007, Mr. Gbajabiamila presented the highest number of Bills in the House.
