‎Lagos under political and economic bondage — Obanikoro

The Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, has officially resigned from President Goodluck Jonathan’s cabinet to pursue his governorship ambition in Lagos state.

In his resignation letter, obtained by PREMIUM TIMES Monday, ‎Mr. Obanikoro said his resignation as minister was to enable him to rescue the people of Lagos from political and economic bondage.

“My resignation is anchored on my passion and my aspiration to liberate the people of Lagos from political and economic bondage and usher the state into a new era of transparency and transformational leadership under an elected Peoples Democratic Party government,” ‎Mr. Obanikoro wrote.

He also thanked President Jonathan for the confidence reposed in him and for considering him worthy of serving as minister of state for defence at a time the country faced serious security challenges.

Mr. Obanikoro, 57, a former senator and ambassador to Ghana, is currently eyeing the Lagos state governorship seat under the PDP. He ran for the post in 2007 on the platform of the PDP but lost to incumbent Governor Babatunde Fashola.

Why does every one think you are like a street thug, like that man in Ekiti

Here comes another overfed garrulous character – coming to insult the intelligence of our people. Instead of using his “voice time” to tell the people what he has in stock for them, all he can do is abuse the incumbent? Sounding like a loser, before jumping into the race – no need to check any crystal ball – this fellow is a grand loser! What did the people of Lagos State “enjoy” while he was Minister? Another one that needs to crawl into his 6 x 6 feet underground flat, and spare the rest of the masses from his shallow, clueless campaign.

If you are from Osun then you are a disgrace to the state of living spring. Old garage that arrogantly claimed transformed is such an eyesore. Your hero wasted over a billion of Osun’s scarce resources building that park at the expense of the workers. If you celebrate incompetence and mediocrity like this then you really need help.

Aregbesola wisdom of know it all can be likened to scriptural proverb of a man who starts a house but refuse to cost how much he will need to finish it. Whilst he is unable to complete the building, his neighbors will started laughing at him that; come and behold a wise man indeed who started a building but cannot complete it because of lack of proper planning yet he claimed to be be wisest man in Osun. Semiu, please take a look at all the road project in Osun and the suffering of the masses and judge your oga performance.

Some people need to be sitted in the market square, wet with local gin and urine, in the full glare of very hot curses until they go so bald that their unborn grandchildren prefer not to come to answer their names. What a shame!
