Ogun APC Crisis: Amosun loyalists to vacate secretariat donated by Osoba

Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State.

The crisis in the Ogun State All Progressives Congress, APC, has heightened with a faction loyal to the governor of the State, Ibikunle Amosun, attempting to finally severe ties with the faction loyal to a former governor, Olusegun Osoba.

Mr. Amosun’s group, in what showed deep polarisation, vacated the party’s state secretariat to secure a new secretariat.

The original party secretariat was a building donated by the former governor, and known as Akinrogun Osoba House. It is located along Moshood Abiola way, Abeokuta, the state capital.

Mr. Amosun’s faction secured a new party secretariat located at Iyana Mortuary junction, a few metres away from the original secretariat. It is, however, unclear if or when Mr. Amosun will declare the secretariat open.

The APC logo and flag had already been hoisted at the secretariat of Mr. Amosun led faction, which is recognised by the national secretariat of the party.

The building was also designed with the party colour.

Messrs Osoba and Amosun have been in a long drawn supremacy battle. The loyalists of Mr. Osoba had even established a group known as ‘Matagbamole,’ translated in English to mean ‘Don’t Ridicule The Elders’.
