The deceased died in an auto accident on Tuesday in Ilorin, Kwara State.
The remains of Jelilat Arisekola–Alao, wife of the late Aare Musulumi Yorubaland, AbdulAzeez Arisekola-Alao were on Wednesday afternoon buried at Oluyole Estate Extension house of her son, Abdulahi.
She was 63.
The deceased died in an auto accident on Tuesday in Ilorin, Kwara State, while going for a medical check-up.
Her corpse arrived the venue at about 4 p.m. to the waiting hands of sympathisers ,who were weeping , wailing and mourning the departed soul.
The Janazah prayer was conducted by Mustapha Akuru, Chief Imam of Arisekola-Alao Central Mosque, Ibadan.
Speaking at the burial ceremony, Mr. Akuru, who talked about the virtues of the deceased, urged those present to live a good life because death comes without giving any notice.
“Death is an inevitable end for every human beings and we must prepared for it at any time,” he said.
Among the dignitaries present at the burial were Florence Ajimobi, wife of the State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi; Rasheed Adesokan, Balogun Mumuni of Yorubaland; and Murziq Siyanbade, Secretary General Muslim Community of Oyo State.
Others are Faruk Arisekola- Alao, Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Oyo State; Kamil Oloso; and Soji Adejumo, Oyo State PDP Governorship Aspirant.
The deceased was survived by Abdulahi and Fatimah Arisekola –Alao.
Her husband, Mr. Arisekola-Alao, died two weeks ago in his London house at the age of 69.
