The LP is jostling to defeat APC in Ogun State.
Ogun State Chapter of Labour Party,LP, secured a major victory Sunday, receiving into its fold hundreds of decampees from the ruling All Progressives Congress,APC.
An event to welcome the new entrants took place during the party’s public meeting at the Akarigbo palace playing ground in Sagamu town of the state.
The decampees were publicly welcomed into their new party by the state chairman,Niyi Osoba.
The ceremony was attended by the party’s three governorship aspirants, Gboyega Isiaka,Sarafa Ishola, and Sina Kawonise.
Also in attendance was the leader of the party in the state and former governor,Gbenga Daniel.
Addressing the crowd, Mr. Daniel expressed optimism that,Labour Party will take over reign of the state in 2015 and called on members that,they team up to chase out the present administration.
On the three governorship aspirants, Mr. Daniel vouched for them as all qualified to rule the state,and noted that, whoever emerged among them should be supported at the general elections.
