Accord Party says its representatives will protect its interest at the National Conference.
The Accord Party on Tuesday appointed its national leader, and former Governor of Oyo State, Rasidi Ladoja; and National Chairman, Muhammad Nalado, as representatives to the National Conference scheduled for March.
The party officials were nominated at a stakeholders’ meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday and attended by its national officers and all state chairmen.
In a communique signed by Accord’s National Secretary, Adisa Nureni, and made available to journalists after the meeting, the party said it chose Mr. Ladoja because it is convinced that Nigeria will benefit from his experience as a former governor, a senator, and accomplished businessman. The party also said that its national chairman’s participation would ensure that its interest as a party and that of its members across the country will be protected at the conference.
In another vain, the party denied having any relationship with Samson Isibor, who has claimed to be the National Secretary of the party.
Describing his activities as amounting to ‘impersonation and fraud,’ the party urged its National Executive Council, NEC, to report Mr. Isibor to the appropriate security agency.
