Mrs. Lawson is a renowned educationist.
The Ogun State Government has appointed the Iyalode of Yorubaland, Alaba Lawson, as the Chairperson of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta Governing Council.
A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Adeolu Taiwo, on Friday, added that the appointment would take effect immediately.
Mrs. Lawson, an educationist, would oversee the polytechnic’s affairs alongside other members of the council, which include the newly appointed rector of the institution, Oludele Itiola, Ade Adetona, Yinka Akintonde, Ibiyinka Fuwape and Biodun Oluseye.
Others are Wole Sanyaolu, Jumoke Oyelami-Gbajabiamila, Yinka Onikute, Adelaja Adetayo, Benjamin Ogunmodede, M.S. Oke, James Alao, and Olatunji Talabi.
The representatives of the State Ministries of Education and Finance would also serve on the Council.
