Members of the PPN move to Labour Party.
A third term member of the House of Representatives from Ogun State, Razaq Adewusi, has concluded arrangements to leave the Peoples Party of Nigeria, PPN, for the Labour Party, LP.
The lawmaker said this during the 50th birthday celebration of his wife, Serifat Adewusi, held at Yewa Plaza Hall, in Abeokuta, the state capital. According to Mr. Adewusi there is no going back on his movement to the Labour Party.
Mr. Adewusi served two terms under Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, before securing a third term after crossing to Peoples Party of Nigeria, PPN, following unresolved political crisis in the PDP.
The lawmaker, a close associate of Gbenga Daniel, immediate past Ogun State governor, reiterated his commitment to effective representation of his zone. Majority of the loyalists of Mr. Daniel, including his wife, have joined the Labour Party with the former governor believed to be financing the party.
Some of Mr. Adewusi’s political associates who are also in the crossover plan include Gboyega Isiaka (former PPN Governorship Candidate), Abiodun Akinlade (member House of Representatives) and Sunday Kojeku (former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly).
