A 25 year old girl in Ondo State said she has been constantly harassed over a situation she has no control over.

A 25-year old girl in Owo, Ondo State, Bilikisu Alli, has raised an alarm over incessant anonymous calls to her mobile phone.

She sought the protection of police and other security agencies especially with rampant cases of kidnapping and insecurity in the country.

Ms. Alli, in a statement to reporters in Akure, the Ondo state capital, said the calls were not unconnected with series of harassment meted to her by some people in Owo, which she said had been reported to the police since last March.

She said she has been assisting one Sarajudeen Adedoyin,a Nigerian resident in United Kingdom, UK, to distribute goods to his Nigerian customers.

Ms. Alli told reporters that trouble started when Mr. Adedoyin, who is engaged in freight businesses, was arrested and detained early this year in the United Kingdom for traffic offences.

She said ”while Mr. Adedoyin was in detention, his cargo business suffered as some of his goods belonging to numerous customers were lost in transit due to lack of proper monitoring.

”During this period, since his customers could not have direct access to Mr. Adedoyin, the battle now shifted to me. I was asked to produce my boss dead or alive.”

Ms. Alli said all efforts to persuade the customers over the issue proved abortive, as they vowed to deal with her should she not provide her boss. She said her boss has been released from detention. She, however, said it will take some time for him to come to Nigeria to explain the development to them.

She said that the aggrieved customers are hell-bent on dealing with the businessman anytime he returns to Nigeria.
