The park manager said there was need for an improvement in the park’s facilities.
The Facility Manager of Freedom Park in Lagos, Oma Imishue, on Wednesday said the park recorded 5,500 visitors between January and March this year.
Mr. Imishue, while giving a breakdown of the figure during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos, said 2,500 were adults, 2,000 children, and 500 foreigners.
He however, said there was the need to improve on the facilities in order to get the best from it.
“The figure shows that Nigerians love fun. Therefore, there is need to improve facilities in the park to meet modern standard,’’ Mr. Imishue said.
The facility manager said the level of patronage of the park was encouraging, adding that the management was expecting more tourists to visit the centre soonest.
“In spite of the high patronage, the management still expects more visitors to visit the centre this year,’’ he said.
