The nonagenarian was freed by the police from the hoodlums’ hideout in Ado-Ekiti.
Police detectives in Ondo State have secured the release of the 90-year old former president of the Ondo branch of the Association of Master Bakers, Musa Adisa Labaika.
He was abducted by a gang of four armed hoodlums last Wednesday while crossing the road in front of his home in Akure to a nearby mosque to observe his dawn prayers.
Police say the nonagenarian was freed from the hoodlums’ hideout in Ado-Ekiti, capital of Ekiti State. Three of his abductors were also arrested at the hideout.
The abductors were traced via the mobile telephone number they used to demand the sum of N30 million from Mr. Labaika’s family, 48 hours after the abduction.
