Fire fighters are battling to put out the fire.
Several houses were gutted by fire on Monday evening at Ode-Olo area of Ibadan. PREMIUM TIMES could not ascertain the casualty figure as at the time of filing this report.
A petrol tanker, which was said to have lost control at a junction, spilled its content and ignited the fire. Because of their clustered nature, many houses were affected even as fire fighters made frantic efforts to quench the inferno.
Many of the residents, whose houses were not yet affected, were seen moving their property out of their homes to prepare for any eventuality.
