An amusement park owner stated this in Lagos.
The Lagos State Government has been advised to hand-over the management of parks to tour experts, in a bid to reposition the state’s tourism image.
Abraham Ololade, the Chairman, Rosellas Amusement Parks and Events Centre, Lagos, said on Monday in Lagos that the governments’ parks were in poor state.
Mr. Ololade said that many of the parks were now a shadow of their former self.
“The poor state is as a result of improper management and inadequate maintenance.
“Many parks, such as the Amusement park, Water Park, Ikoyi Park, Motor Park, Fantasy Land, among others, are no longer functioning. The government needs to hand-over their management to experts to attract more tourists into the state,” he said.
He added that proper management of the parks would fetch the state government huge revenue.
