Jonathan arrives Ikenne to condole with Awolowo family

The President arrived in a chopper.

President Goodluck Jonathan has arrived the Ikenne, Ogun State, home of the Awolowo’s. Mr. Jonathan arrived at about 3:00 p.m. to commiserate with the family over the death of Oluwole Awolowo, son of the late Premier of Western Region, Obafemi Awolowo.

Mr. Jonathan also commiserated with Hanna Awolowo, the mother of the late Oluwole.

The President arrived in a chopper with inscription NAF 571 which landed at the playing ground of Ansarudeen Primary School and headed straight to the house.

Security officials attached to the president prevented all print journalists from gaining access to Awolowo compound during Mr. Jonathan’s visit.
