Woman arrested for stabbing co-tenant to death

Two men were also arrested in Ogun State for attempting to steal a PHCN transformer.

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a tenant, Obasi Igwe, for allegedly stabbing her co-tenant, Sunday Ndupo, to death.

The arrest was carried out by officers of the Iperu Division of the Police Command.

The Ogun State Police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the arrest and said the police would charge the suspect after completion of trial.

Meanwhile, two suspects have been arrested by the Command for allegedly attempting to steal a transformer belonging to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN.

The suspects allegedly committed the crime at Imobi Town of Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of the State where they were caught.

Mr. Adejobi, who confirmed the incident to PREMIUM TIMES, said the suspects are in custody. He said further investigations are ongoing.

Mr. Adejobi said an “eagle eyed good Samaritan” reported the case to the police at Ogbere.

He said after the tip off, a team of detectives were dispatched to the area where one suspect was arrested. The arrested suspect led the police to his colleagues who were also apprehended.
