The State Working Committee has suspended a chieftain of the PDP in Ogun.
At its meeting held on Wednesday, the SWC said it resolved to suspend the former Director General of Olusola Oke Campaign Organisation, OOCO, for ignoring the party’s directive to come and explain certain issues concerning his position as OOCO Director General.
A statement signed by PDP Publicity Secretary, Wale Ozogoro, said “the party had invited the director severally to answer questions on the campaign expenditure of the gubernatorial election held on October 20, 2012 to no avail.
“The party also frowned and regretted the anti party activities of Dr. Bada coupled with his latest vituperation in both the print and electronic media.
”He has continued to perfect falsehood and perfidy against the party and its leadership. The working committee therefore, set up a disciplinary committee in line with the constitution of the party to look into these allegations and submit its report within two weeks,” the party spokesman said.
It said Mr. Bada, however, remained suspended from the party pending the committee’s report. His suspension letter was signed by the Secretary of the party, Oyedele Ibini, and delivered personally to him, according to the statement.
But the suspended DG described his suspension as a ruse saying the Ondo State PDP no longer has a state executive.
“There is a court injunction by Akure High Court, which ordered them from parading themselves as executive of PDP. So, the exercise of suspending me from the party is illegal and unconstitutional,” he said.
