Police in Ondo says it will deal with people who use siren illegally.
The Ondo State Police Command has warned against the indiscriminate and unauthorized use of siren by some members of the public.
This was contained in a statement signed by the command’s spokesman, Adeniran Aremu.
The command’s spokesperson warned those using siren illegally to desist or face the full wrath of the law.
He said that laws guiding the use of siren and covering of number plates are still in force.
The police in Ondo vowed to deal ruthlessly with anyone caught using it without authorization, stressing that officers and men of the state command have been directed to arrest whoever commits the offence.
It directed vehicle owners with factory fitted tainted glasses to get police approval before making use of it, while those having artificial ones have been instructed to remove it immediately.
The Command also noted that the directive would further improve the security of lives and property during and beyond the yuletide season.
