Ogun police recovers 40 bags of Indian hemp; arrest 2 suspects

The police boss assured residents of their safety.

The Ogun State Police Command, Saturday, recovered 40 bags of Indian Hemp arresting two suspected dealers.

The police said the suspects were intercepted and arrested during a stop and search along Benin/Sagamu Expressway.

The Public Relation Relations Officer of the Command, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident in a statement.

“The suspects were intercepted and arrested by the eagle eye Police Anti-Patrol team attached to Odogbolu Division, on the 29th November, 2012, during stop and search along Benin/Sagamu Expressway,” Mr. Adejobi said.

“This is a warning to the would-be criminals, that the State is no longer a safe haven for crimes and criminality as the Command has put in place necessary machinery to track down felons,” he added.

The police spokesperson assured the state’s residents of safety and security at all time, especially during this yuletide period.
