Mr. Babalakin has faced turbulent times recently.
The embattled Bi-Courtney Chairman, Olawale Babalakin, failed to appear in court, Thursday, due to ‘ill Health’.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had filed a 27-count charge against the Bi-Courtney boss and he was to be tried at a Lagos High Court over allegations that he assisted the imprisoned former governor of Delta State, launder N2 billion.
Mr. Babalakin and his companies have been engulfed in crisis in recent times, with the Federal Government revoking a major contract given his company, Bi-Courtney, and the Ondo State Government threatening to do same to another company.
The EFCC accused Mr. Babalakin and his associates, including Bi-Courtney construction group, Stabilini, Renix Nigeria Limited of facilitating a fraudulent transfer on behalf of Mr. Ibori to Mauritius under the pretext of funds for projects in the state.
