UNILORIN to get an amusement park

A team of Danish investors have expressed interest to establish an amusement park at the University of Ilorin, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Abdulganiyu Ambali, said on Tuesday.

Mr. Ambali, while hosting the investors from Denmark, in Ilorin, said the amusement park would be located at the university’s permanent site.

The vice-chancellor said that private sector investments in any university would touch the lives of the people positively.

“Such interventions will also assist us, university administrators, to achieve part of our goals and objectives,” he said.

He said the University of Ilorin was strategically located to the investment advantage of any investor hoping to enhance his business ventures.

“Our university is situated in the central part of the country, which serves as a gateway between the Northern and Southern part of Nigeria.

“And its strategic location makes her a national entity,” he said.

Mr. Ambali also assured the Danish investors that the university and her host communities would maintain a “good and fruitful business relationship” with them.

In her remarks, the leader of the Danish delegation, Christiano Mortisen, said the university environment and Kwara generally is a peaceful place to do business.

She said that the Danish delegation enjoyed their stay, describing their interactions with Nigerians as “positive”.

“We hope that the whole project will succeed, in fact, we cannot wait to get started on the project,” she said.
