The governor says the hotel will create employment in the state
The governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, Friday, said that his administration will rehabilitate one of the Gateway Hotels in Abeokuta.
Mr. Amosun said this at the stakeholders at the Town Hall meeting on the 2013 Budget organized by the Ministry of Budget and Planning in Abeokuta.
He said the resuscitation of the Gateway Hotels in Ogun State will generate more employment for the Youths and earn revenue into the coffers of Government.
He explained that other Gateway Hotels had been leased for more than 15 years, but assured that his administration would not relent in ensuring that it takes over all hotels.
Mr. Amosun declared that N18 billion would be spent to construct twelve more roads across the three senatorial districts of the State to cater for increased demands of inhabitants of the State.
He also stated that Technical Colleges in the State would soon be re-invigorated and restructured to provide the required technical manpower to advance the State’s economy.
The Governor explained that when the Technical colleges are restructured, they will be in a better position to empower the youths through skill acquisition and make them employers of labour rather being job seekers.
