Speaker, Osun state House of Assembly, Honourable Najeem Salaam

The victim was rescued unhurt

The Ogun State Police Command has concluded arrangements to, on Monday, unveil the identities of kidnappers of the wife of the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly.

The Ogun State Vigilance Service, on Saturday at Ogunmakin village located along the Lagos-Ibadan Express, rescued Muibat Salam from her abductors after five days. Two of the kidnappers were killed and deposited at the morgue while three were arrested and handed over to the police for prosecution.

Mrs. Salam was rescued unhurt.

She had been forcefully taken away by her abductors shortly after she closed from her shop in Ejigbo town of Osun State on Tuesday and driven to Ogun State.

The suspected are to be paraded before journalists on Monday when the police will also officially brief the media on the rescue.
