Governor Alex Otti of Abia State was present on Wednesday, 20 August, as the first cohort of the Abia Leadership Academy came to an end.
The Abia Leadership Academy, held at the Government College Umuahia, is a special initiative of Mr Otti to prepare the youths of the state for the demands of leadership in a fast-changing world.
The exercise was a seven-day immersive, in-residence programme with 250 participants per cohort.
“As always, Abia youths were happy and very excited to have their governor in their midst,” said Ferdinand Ekeoma, the special adviser on media and publicity to Mr Otti. “So many good things are happening in Abia at the same time.”
