The police in Abia State are looking for a man who went missing in July 2016.
Columbus Ihemekwele, said to be in his late 60s, left his home on July 24 in Osisioma neighbourhood in Aba Township, and his whereabouts have remained unknown, his family said in a statement to PREMIUM TIMES.
Mr. Ihemekwele’s family described him as “a dark, warm and soft spoken elderly man”. The matter has since been reported to the police who have launched rescue efforts.
Mr. Ihemekwele is of average height and a resident of No.7, Agalaba Street, Osisioma, Aba, Abia State.
The family said when he left home on July 24, he had with him his mobile phone, a small black male purse and wore a brown safari.
“Please we will need all the sense of human kindness from you in helping to identify any person wandering about that matches the above description or a group of persons seen in custody of anyone who bears resemblance to him,” his family said.
Mr. Imehekwele’s family told PREMIUM TIMES the sexagenarian did not show signs he was suffering dementia or any form of memory loss.
