The Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, UNIZIK recently held the 34th Induction ceremony of her Medical Graduands at the Nnewi campus of the institution.
The event took place at the Gilbert Metu Uzodike Auditorium at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH, Nnewi.
In his speech, the institution’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Boniface Chukwukadibia Egboka, charged the graduands to be worthy ambassadors of the institution.
Prof. Egboka, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, Prof. J.C Ahaneku, congratulated the graduands, stating that the event was a crowning point for the many tedious years they put into
medical studies.
The Dean, faculty of medicine, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, thanked the Chief Medical Director of NAUTH, Prof. Anthony Igwebe, and the board of NAUTH for the provision of condusive learning and teaching environment and prayed for God’s guidance on the graduands.
Dr. Manafa Chibuzor won the prize for the best student in Obsterics and Gyneacology and also in Ophthalmology while Dr. Ubeh Chidinma emerged the best overall student.
