Nov. 1 (PREMIUM TIMES) Obong of Akwa Ibom, Victor Attah, is dead.
President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday condoled with former Obong of Akwa Ibom, Victor Attah, over the death of his wife, Allison.
This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday by Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
Mr. Abati said the president received the sad news with a heavy heart.
“Jonathan, on behalf of himself and the Federal Government, enjoined the Attah family to take solace in the fact that the deceased lived a good life, characterised by love and care for the family and service to mankind.
He said the president noted that the particular attention she paid to the welfare and health of children in Akwa Ibom under her Child Development Trust Programme, “which touched several lives will always be remembered by the beneficiaries”.
Mr. Abati said Jonathan prayed God to grant Attah good health to keep the memory of his late spouse alive and the fortitude to bear the loss.
