The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) says Bayelsa recorded the highest price of N165 per litre in the sale of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol in July.
This is contained in the PMS Price Watch report released by the NBS on Wednesday in Abuja.
The report said that Taraba emerged the second state that sold the product at N162 per litre, while Nassarawa State sold for N160.
Meanwhile, the report stated that Kaduna sold the lowest price at N142, while Borno and Oyo sold the product at N144.
It said that the average price of PMS within the period under review stood at N147.67 compared to an average of N149 witnessed in June.
In addition, the report stated that Borno recorded the highest price of the product at N173 in June while Taraba and Adamawa sold at N160 and N156.6 respectively.
Also, within the period of June, Zamfara, Oyo and Katsina sold at the lowest prices of N144.47, N144.85 and N144.92 respectively.
This report presents average monthly prices of PMS consumed by households across the 36 states and the FCT. (NAN)
