Three brothers on Thursday died in a fire that engulfed a house at Elebele Community in Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Bayelsa State, Asinim Butswat, in an email to PREMIUM TIMES gave the names of the victims as Daniel Udoh, Saviour Udoh and Joshua Udoh.
Mr. Butswat didn’t however mention how old the victims were.
The PPRO said policemen from Kolo Division received a distress call of fire outbreak around 11.05pm at a residence of Favour Udoh, but that the three brothers had died before the fire was put off.
Police said that preliminary investigation revealed that the fire was caused by a candle-light.
The corpses were deposited at the Federal Medical Centre Mortuary, Yenagoa, for autopsy, while police continued their investigation into the incidence.
