    Congrats my governor

The six months President Buhari spent in office and mostly frittered away reflects in this Bayelsa poll.
PDP defeated APC by over 75% of the votes. Had President Buhari proved his mettle the voters would
have made a different choice and gone along with APC. But because Buhari merely flatters to deceive
the APC got the defeat of its life in this Bayelsa election. It is my hope that the APC Leaders will meet
and talk frankly with one another because it is easier to win election than to run a government. Truth is
that the APC federal government is failing on all indices and just long on promise but short on delivery.

Congratulations to bayelsans, congratulations in particular to Ijaw nation. It was a good battle with sweet victory. I am not from Ijaw or bayelsa but in the present circumstances you made the BEST decision. You have made a very bold and LOUD statement. You refused to be an appendage and slaves to dictates of the oligarchy. There is no way by which you can get any favors from the present equation at the center as a people knowing that an Ijaw just lost at the center. Lagos was not part of the center for 16 years yet it developed and did very well. It is also a statement that when the chips are down the Ijaw man can take a stand and take his destiny in his hand. Once again kudos to you guys. Bravo to Timipreye for a good fight. It’s now time to move on.

APC/Silva should be indicted for all the deaths. Meanwhile Nigeria taxpayers continue to pay for APC penchant for “do or die” politics.
I keep asking how long would it take PDP, other political parties and Nigerian Bar Association to mobilize Nigerians against undemocratic tendencies of brainless Buhari and deceiteful APC?

  • Omoekoogidi

I thought APC had a written result they were going to announce according to the pdpigs loud mouth .
Congratulations to Dickson and pdp. When you loose next time, pls don’t cry me a river oh.

This is a testimony to the fact that the triumph of evil over good can only be ephemeral. The people have spoken by their votes and uncommon resolve by men and women of Bayelsa to resist and frustrate the calculated darstardly mayhem that APC and its thugs visited on the people of Bayelsa in the past 48hrs just because the part coveted the Governor’s seat. 14 persons reported dead and 37 injured. The silence of Premium Times on these deaths and refusal to maintain its notorious so-called LIVE UPDATES is criminal. If not, why would Premium Times stop the live updates when it became apparent that the PDP was leading by over 8,000 votes? As elections in Rivers and Akwa Ibom are likely to hold in few months to come, Nigerians urge the Policemen to be neutral and ensure that every vote counts. The security agents should ensure that APC’s rampaging killer thugs and party officials are brought to book. We must never allow the party at the centre to intimidate our conscience for that very conscience is what distinguishes us from animals. Congratulations to the people of Bayelsa.

An idiotic writer! What a load of rubbish??

    • MajaSaint

      Thanks and God bless

    • ConScience

Kudos for your comments but I pray they are founded on the conscience of impartiality regardless of which party comes out ahead in all instances. Let the people’s votes count on all fronts regardless if APC, PDP, APGA, Labor. SDP, etc. It will take time for the system to perfect truly free and fair elections as long as the two major parties continue to use political thugs as neither are innocent of such acts hence the need for the security forces to take an independent hard line approach until such time where the polity is truly civil.

    This is NO breaking news.
The election ws won/LOST during the December 5th elections where Dickson won a whooping 6 out of 7 LGA’s.
It is only ‘breaking news’ to the e-zombies who had their hopes raised by the APC propaganda machine!
The moment Premium Times refused to do their usual ‘live updates’, all sane political pundits knew APC had been DEGRADED AND DECIMATED in Bayelsa!

    I dey laff ooooo!!!

    • yukkmouff

      I laff join ooo!!!

      • B. Messi

        Hehehe…abeg laff my broda…

The Bayelsa State Governorship Election proved that Mumunmadu Buhari is too dull and too incompetent …. Buhari’s INEC could not conduct a hitch free election in just one Local Government Area in just one very small State.

The question Nigerians must answer is this ….. Can an extremely dull and incompetent man like Buhari who is struggling to conduct just a governorship election in a small State like Bayelsa be trusted with the handling of the vast and complex Nigerian Economy ?
