The Kaduna State Government has directed all political appointees aspiring for seats in the state House of Assembly to resign immediately.

In a statement signed by Governor El-Rufai’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Samuel Aruwan, it said the resignation would enable the appointees to comply with the ”relevant sections in the All Progressive Congress constitution”.

”The resignation of the appointees will enable them to comply with the relevant sections of the APC’s constitution,” the statement said.

The statement did not name any of the political appointees aspiring for the legislative seats.
