The Jigawa Primary Health Care Development Agency (JPHCDA) on Thursday said it distributed 93,101 treated mosquito nets in Hadejia Area Council under the Insecticidal Mosquito Net Distribution Campaign.
Yusuf Bashir, the council’s JPHCDA’s Manager, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Hadejia that the beneficiaries were part of the 93,650 persons it earlier issued identity cards for the collection.
According to him, the 93,101 figure represents 95 per cent of the total nets distributed in the campaign which began on August 11 and would end on August 17.
He said that every card carrier in the 11 wards of the council was given one net under the programme that was sponsored by the Federal and State government as well as the development partners.
The manager commended the council’s authorities for their support in mobilizing beneficiaries at the grassroots.
