UDUTH Sokoto gets new Chief Medical Director

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Anas Sabir, as the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto for an initial period of four years.

UDUTH Head of Public Affairs Unit, Buhari Abubakar, disclosed this in a statement issued in Sokoto on Tuesday.

Mr Abubakar said the appointment was conveyed in a letter which was signed by the Minister of Health, Isaac Adewole.

According to him, Mr Buhari in the letter urged the new CMD to work collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders to deliver quality healthcare services to the people.

Mr Sabir is a Consultant Endocrinologist and who had served as Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee and Acting CMD of the hospital before his appointment.

He succeeded Yakubu Ahmed who held the position for eight years.
