The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has appointed Muhammad Sai’du as his Chief of Staff.
A statement by Samuel Aruwan, Special Assistant to the Governor Media and Publicity, said the appointment is with immediate effect.
Until this appointment, Mr. Sai’du was the Commissioner for Local Government in Kaduna State.
Born on July 21, 1957, Mr. Sai’du is an accountant by profession and holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He has worked with the Kaduna State Government before joining the service of the Federal Government where he served in the former National Maritime Authority, NMA.
Mr. Sai’du started active politics during the Third Republic, when he joined the defunct Social Democratic Party, SDP.
He was Zonal Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Congress for Progressives Change, CPC. He later became Kaduna State Secretary General of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and then Secretary of the Kaduna State APC Campaign Council for the 2015 general elections.
