The Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has sworn-in his first four appointees.
The appointees are Secretary to the State Government, Balarabe Lawal; Principal Private Secretary, Salisu Suleiman; Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Legislative Affairs, Bala Yunusa; and Special Assistant, Media, Samuel Aruwan.
In his remarks after administering the oath of allegiance and the oath of office on the appointees, the governor charged them to be dedicated to duty.
“We are here for a serious business that requires dedication, commitment and sacrifice to achieve positive results. The people of Kaduna State have given us a four year mandate to deliver and they will not entertain stories. They expect us to work hard and to achieve results, and so we must.
“There is no room for excuses. We have no time to waste, neither do we have time to play. We have a duty to work hard for the development, unity, and progress of the state.”
Responding on behalf of the appointees, the Secretary to the State Government, Balarabe Lawal, thanked the governor and assured him of their commitment to the various duties assigned them.
