The Governor-elect of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Thursday in Kano inaugurated a 93-man Transition Committee for the take-off of his administration on May 29.
Inaugurating the committees at the Deputy Governor’s Office, Mr. Ganduje urged the members to work assiduously and diligently towards the success of the incoming administration.
The committee, which comprises 8 sub-committees, is headed by the Deputy Governor-elect, Hafizu Abubakar.
He said the members were drawn from different disciplines, and that they have good track record and patriotic zeal.
According to him, the committees are tasked to map out a policy frame work and advise the incoming administration, to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the committee, Abubakar, thanked Mr. Ganduje for the recognition and for finding them worthy of the assignment.
He promised to work hard within the stipulated time of three weeks.
