The Kaduna State Governor, Ramalan Yero, on Sunday, visited those injured while celebrating the victory of the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, in the recently held presidential election.
The governor had earlier directed that those injured during the Buhari’s victory jubilation across the state should be treated in state hospitals for free. He also condoled with families of those that lost their lives in the incidents.
Mr. Yero visited the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital Zaria where 26 persons injured during the celebrations were on admission for various degrees of injuries.
Conducting the governor and his entourage round the wards, the Chairman Medical Advisory Committee of the hospital, Abdullahi Mohammed, said of the number admitted at the hospital, 12 persons have been discharged while the remaining 14 are still receiving treatment.
The governor told the hospital that the State Government will pay all bills while calling on people in the State to continue to live peacefully with one another irrespective of their political and religious differences.
