The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sunusi II, has urged his subject to collect their Permanent Voters Card, saying refusing to do so will be disastrous.
Mr. Sunusi who spoke to journalists in his palace on Tuesday said this is the only way to get the leader of their choice.
“Your five million population would be a waste without you having your card by your side to elect who you want,” the Emir said.
Mr. Sunusi asked husbands to allow their wives, children and anybody close to them to get the cards.
He said Islam teaches hard work which includes getting the voters’ card.
