200 APC members decamp to PDP in Kaduna

Two hundred members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Tuesday decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The APC decampees were received at the PDP governorship campaign rally in Igabi.

They handed over their APC membership cards, brooms and posters in replacement for those of the PDP.

Speaking on their decision to dump the APC, the leader of the decampees, Bello Rigasa, said they were discomforted by the approach of the APC to its campaigns which encourages thuggery and violence against innocent people.

He said they have decided to join the PDP to contribute to the election bid of the state governor, Ramalan Yero, saying “we are satisfied that in the last two years the governor has performed creditably well and he deserves to be supported for another term”.

Speaking at the campaign rally in Igabi, Mr. Yero said his administration in the last two years placed greater attention to security and education saying “we have recorded some level of achievements because Kaduna is more peaceful than we met it and public schools have improved”.

The governor called on the people of Kaduna state to fully participate in the electoral process.
