The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has postponed the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards, PVC, in Kaduna State earlier scheduled to take start on December 6.
This is contained in a statement issued by INEC Commissioner in the state, Aliyu Tambuwal, in Kaduna on Saturday.
It stated that the distribution of the PVCs would now hold from December 8 to 12 while for the Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, would hold from December 12 to 17.
The statement stated that INEC regretted any convenience the postponement would cost Kaduna State residents.
According to the statement, the postponement is to give the INEC time to address logistic problems that can impede on a hitch-free exercise ahead of 2015 general elections. (NAN)
