Kaduna Bombing: Police investigative team meets Buhari

The bomb killed more than 40 people Wednesday

A four-man investigative team set up by the Inspector General of Police to investigate the twin bomb blast targeting former Nigerian head of state, Muhammadu Buhari and Dahiru Bauchi, arrived Kaduna Saturday.

The team, lead by Deputy Commissioner of Police Nwadibo Ekechukwu, in-charge of Legal Department, Force Headquarters,Abuja, earlier visited the scenes of the blast before meeting with General Mohammadu Buhari at his residence behind close doors.

Mr. Ekechukwu later appealed to the public to assist the team with useful information and appealed for caution.

The twin bombs which occurred  Wednesday killed over 40 people and injured some 37 more.

The two bombs which exploded at different times, targeted Mr. Buhari and Mr. Bauchi.

The two men escaped unhurt.

Police said in an earlier statement that the team of investigators will work in close collaboration with other security agencies.
