The governor appealed to his people to preach peace and never to take laws in to their hands.
The Kaduna State governor, Mukhtar Yero, on Monday threatened to personally deal with anyone who causes trouble in the state.
The governor spoke at a ceremony at Dankande Town where he distributed foodstuff to the people of the state.
“Let me tell you here and you better open your ears and listen attentively. Anybody, no matter his status, who tries to cause any trouble in this state, I shall deal with him severely. And if anyone thinks I’m joking he should try Ramalan Yero,” he said.
The governor appealed to the people to preach peace and never to take laws in to their hands. He also promised to keep doing his best to make sure Kaduna remained peaceful.
The state government distributed thousands of bags of rice and maize, and cartons of spaghetti to the people of the state. The beneficiaries included various community groups and individuals in the 23 local governments.
Mr. Yero said the government’s largesse was to cushion the present hardship being experienced by the people of the state.
