Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano State on Wednesday signed into law the child labour prohibition bill as passed by the State’s House of Assembly.

Governor Kwankwaso warned individuals in the state who employ under age girls as domestic helps to desist from the practice or face the wrath of law.
The Kano government had banned street begging via a law early this year. The law is currently is being enforced by arresting and deporting beggars to their respective states of origin.
