The state aims to combat youth restiveness
The Kaduna State Governor, Mukhtar Yero, on Tuesday, flagged off the training of 7600 youth and women across the 23 local government areas of the state on various skill acquisition & agricultural empowerment programmes.
The Director General Media to Mr. Yero, Ahmed Maiyaki, at the flag-off ceremony in Kaduna, said the programmes would be continuous. He also emphasised the Governor’s commitment to making sure that youth restiveness was eliminated in the state.
“Other programmes are still coming up. The government is working and exploring other avenues that will engage the youth and women in the state,” he said.
Mr. Ahmed said that on completion of the programme, every participant would be supported with a package, comprised of tools and a stipend, that would help them become self-reliant, productive and socially developed.
